Patricia | Full Dining Set
Benches: The seating for the dining set is taken from the same species of wood, and where possible, from the same cluster of trees. Each bench is made from one long piece of wood - cut at each end at two 45 degree angles, “folded” down to create legs and held together with wood joinery and a trestle stretching the length of the bench.
Chairs: Our chairs are made like folding wood. A single piece of wood is cut a back’s length down, folded up to craft the seat, cut and folded down to create the first leg, then cut again to craft the second leg. A small trestle holds the chair in place with wood joinery throughout. Each chair’s back and seat is hand-carved to match the human body to provide as much comfort as possible while dining.
Dining Table: Our signature dining table is made with a tabletop from one single piece of wood. These slabs (aged 150-300+ years old) develop rich character in their old age - natural cracks, bug holes, spalting, and more which we do not hide or cut away, but instead highlight and re-strengthen.
The legs are cut from the same piece of wood or another slab from the same log.
